

Kim was born and raised in Grosse Pointe. She graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor's Degree in Chinese Language and Literature. While at U of M, Kim spent a summer in Shanghai studying Chinese politics and law. She also taught English at the National Taiwan Normal University for a semester. Kim received her law degree from the University of Detroit, where she focused her curriculum on international law. Since graduating, Kim has served as a translator at events such as the G7 Conference in Detroit and translated the World Cup brochure while working at Inter-Lingua Language and Translation Services in Detroit. She is also a past member of the Detroit Committee on Foreign Relations. Kim is licensed to practice in the State of Michigan and the U.S District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.
