Kim was born and raised in Grosse Pointe.  She graduated from
the University of Michigan with a Bachelor's Degree in Chinese
Language and Literature.  While at U of M, Kim spent a summer
in Shanghai studying Chinese politics and law.    She also taught
English at the National Taiwan Normal University for a
semester.   Kim received her law degree from the University of
Detroit, where she focused her curriculum on international law.  

Since graduating, Kim has served as a translator at events such
as the G7 Conference in Detroit and translated the World Cup
brochure while working at Inter-Lingua Language and
Translation Services in Detroit.   She is also a past member of
the Detroit Committee on Foreign Relations.   Kim  is licensed to
practice in the State of Michigan and the U.S District Court for
the Eastern District of Michigan.

Kim focuses most of her practice on immigration issues.  She
speaks Chinese, French, Italian and Spanish.
