Your Rights as a Client

We at Bendure & King value our clients.  Here's what you can expect from us:

  • Your attorney will treat you with courtesy and consideration.

  • Your attorney will be capable of handling your legal matter
competently and diligently, in accordance with the highest standards
    of the profession.

  • You will get your lawyer's independent professional judgment and
    undivided loyalty.

  • Your attorney will answer your questions and address your concerns
    promptly.

  • Your attorney will promptly return your telephone calls.

  • Your attorney will keep you informed about what's happening in your
case, and will give you the information you need to make reasonable
    and informed decisions.

  • Your attorney will keep your information and conversations
confidential to the fullest extent permitted under the law.

  • Your attorney will conduct him/herself in accordance with the Rules
    of Professional Conduct.

  • Your attorney  will charge you a reasonable fee and will explain at the
beginning of your case how the fee will be calculated.  You may refuse
to enter into any fee agreement you think is unfair.

  • Your attorney will send you a written, itemized bill every month.

  • If there ever comes a time that you are not satisfied with how your
matter is being handled, you have the right to terminate the
attorney/client relationship (a judge might have to approve the
termination first, and your attorney might be able to collect fees for
work performed before termination of the relationship).
